Church livestream audio that grows the Kingdom

It’s not your gear. It’s your mix.

If your livestream mix sounds muddy, harsh, or just off, people aren’t going to sit through worship. They’ll skip straight to the sermon. Or worse, close the stream altogether.

You’ve probably heard that your livestream is the new “front door” of the church. It’s true. For most visitors, their first impression isn’t the building — it’s the audio on your Facebook stream.

There is a universal standard for audio, whether you are under 100 people or over 1,000. And if your stream doesn’t come close to the examples above, it’s not your gear. It’s your mix.

We’re not here to step on your team’s toes. Most church techs are doing the best they can with limited time and training. What we offer is a way to make their job easier. Or take it off their plate entirely with remote mixing.

And if no one’s even over the broadcast mix right now? We’ll handle it for you, live, every week.

Keep scrolling to see why broadcast mixes are so hard to get right — and what we’ve built to fix that for 500+ churches, 170+ of them every Sunday.

Why great church broadcast mixes are hard — and how to get one

What you actually need for a pro church mix

Most people don’t realize how important the mix room is. It’s not just about putting up some foam — true acoustic treatment shapes how your engineer hears every detail. In a broadcast environment, what you hear is everything.

The best church mixes come from studio-caliber rooms with tuned acoustics and reliable speakers. Most churches can’t justify the cost of that — and they don’t have to. That’s why we mix off-site, in a controlled environment, using your worship team’s tracks.

The mix is only as good as the engineer

Even with a great room, the mix is only as good as the engineer behind it. Most local techs — even the committed ones — don’t have years of experience shaping sound for phones, cars, and streams.

Our engineers mix in tuned rooms using broadcast-specific templates built around your worship team. We don’t copy-paste solutions — we build your church’s sound from the ground up, and dial it in so it actually works live.

How we improve church audio mixing for your livestream

A better mix without buying more gear

You don’t need to spend thousands on new sound equipment to get a professional-sounding livestream.

We’ve built a cost-effective system that delivers a polished mix remotely — no upgrades required. Whether you’re running a DAW, a matrix from front-of-house, or a dedicated console, we can help.

You’ll be shocked at how good your worship team can sound — and how easy it is to get started. We’ve improved hundreds of church livestreams already, and we’ve seen every setup imaginable.

How we do what we do

Our system is built around a DAW — a Digital Audio Workstation — running on a computer connected to your digital soundboard.

If you already have a DAW, we’ll remix your current session using our proven settings. If not, we’ll build your mix from scratch using a multitrack recording of your worship team.

Once your custom mix is ready, we train your team to run it reliably every week. Many of our churches just open the session and let it run in the background.

Want the best quality possible? We also offer weekly remote mixing. We’ll assign a dedicated mix engineer who learns your church’s flow and becomes part of your team.

How remote livestream mixing works

Remote livestream mixing means a professional engineer mixes your church’s broadcast audio live, over the internet, during your service. Your team runs live sound in the room like normal. Your engineer mixes the church livestream audio that goes online.

How the signal travels

  1. Your soundboardSends every channel to a computer at your church.
  2. Your custom mix sessionRuns on that computer, built around your worship team.
  3. Your engineerConnects remotely and mixes your service live.
  4. Your YouTube or Facebook streamThe finished mix goes out the way you stream today, to every phone, car and TV.

What churches are saying about our livestream mixes

Our computer completely died right before service and our entire livestream system went down. I called Emperor Audio and they jumped in right away. In less than an hour they had us running on another computer, reinstalled everything, and fully set up their system. The livestream worked perfectly the entire service.

They didn’t just troubleshoot a problem. They genuinely helped save our service.

Dylan W.Youth Pastor, Open Door Church

Our church live stream has taken a 180 regarding the audio clarity! Thanks to Emperor Audio! From the first conversation with Gray to ongoing conversations with Gavyn, the customer service, demo feedback and support has been amazing!

I highly recommend Emperor Audio for your church’s live stream audio tuning, mixing and setup. We look forward to a great future with Emperor!

Lamont L.Lead Pastor, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church

These guys have been awesome to work with and I’m pleased with the results. Max, Gavyn, and the whole team have gone above and beyond to help us get things dialed in. If you’re looking to upgrade your live stream sound, I highly recommend them!

Remote livestream mixing FAQs

What is remote livestream mixing?

A professional audio engineer mixes your church’s livestream live, over the internet, while your service happens. Your soundboard sends every channel to a computer at your church. Your engineer connects to it and mixes worship and the sermon in real time, and the finished mix goes out on your YouTube or Facebook stream.

What do we need to get started?

Most churches already have what they need: a soundboard and a computer. If extra equipment is needed, we will let you know prior to any kind of investment.

How fast can we start?

Most churches are set up within 1 week.

Does remote mixing work for small churches?

Yes. There is a universal standard for audio, whether you are under 100 people or over 1,000. Most churches already have what they need: a soundboard and a computer. You don’t need new gear, new volunteers or audio experience.

Does it work for multisite churches?

Yes. Whether you’re a small church or a growing multi-campus ministry, we have a package that fits. You get a dedicated engineer for the service time you select. We don’t mix multiple services at one time.

Why does our livestream sound muddy or thin when the room sounds great?

In the sanctuary, drums, amps and the congregation fill the air. Online, people only hear what the board sends. Your sound tech mixes for the room and can’t hear the stream while the band plays twenty feet away. And phones and car speakers expose everything: a mix that sounds fine in the booth falls apart on small speakers, where most people listen.

Some of this you can fix yourself. Start with our 5 livestream mix fixes for churches.

Do you mix the sermon too, or just the music?

Both. Your engineer mixes worship and the sermon live, channel by channel, from start to finish.

Do you handle church live sound too, or just the livestream?

Just the livestream. Your team keeps running live sound in the room; your engineer mixes the broadcast audio that goes online. If you want help with the room, our on-site visits cover system tuning and training.

Do we have to pay for you to travel to our church to do this?

Our process is fully remote. If you are happy with our livestream services and you want to fly us out for your house mix & training, we would love to do so.

What kind of knowledge or training do we need to kick off the process?

You don’t need any kind of specialized knowledge to work with us. We have a streamlined, remote process that already takes into account the elements that must be handled locally.

What if I don’t have someone to run my broadcast week to week?

We offer both remote, real-time mixing, as well as providing you a system that you run on your own with training. If you don’t want remote mixing, and you don’t have someone to run your broadcast mix locally, then we have options and guidance for you.

Is this something we have to pay for forever, or do we own it for life?

Most churches start with weekly mixing. If you later want to run it yourselves, we train your team and hand it over.

What does it cost?

It depends on how long your service runs. You’ll get exact pricing on your call, before you commit to anything.

For comparison, a staff audio engineer runs $45,000–$80,000 a year and a freelance mixer $150–$600 a week. Weekly mixing with us costs less than a freelancer.

Is there a contract or a setup fee?

Your choice: month-to-month with a one-time setup, or a 6-month agreement with no setup fee. We’ll go over both on your call.

What happens if our internet drops during service?

Your mix runs on your church’s computer, so it keeps going on its last settings. Your engineer reconnects the moment you’re back online.

Who mixes our service?

A trained Emperor Audio engineer mixes your service live, every week. Our leads check the quality and handle tech support. Meet the team.

How do churches choose a remote mixing service?

Start by hearing your own worship team mixed, not a sample reel. Then ask four things. Does a dedicated engineer mix live during your service? Does it work with the soundboard and computer you already have? Who answers when something breaks during service? Can you go month to month?

Our guide walks through it step by step: How to choose church remote mixing.

What makes Emperor Audio different from other remote mixing companies?

Your engineer mixes only your service. A dedicated engineer mixes it live, start to finish. We don’t mix multiple services at one time. Our leads check quality and handle tech support across churches, so your engineer’s attention stays on your service.

You hear your own church first. Your free demo is mixed from your own worship team’s tracks, not a sample reel.

If the connection drops, your mix keeps running. It runs on your church’s computer and holds its last settings until your engineer reconnects.

Included: a rehearsal check before every service, premium plugins and all software. Month-to-month options available.
